INTRODUCTION

I am a registered social worker, registered marriage and family therapist and international certified alcohol and drug addiction counselor. I have been active in counseling, consultation and teaching for over 30 years.

My counseling and therapy practice, covering a wide range of individual and couple issues, is tailored to the needs and presentation of each specific client and set of problems. My work includes brief problem solving as well as long-term therapy for individuals, couples and families.

I have two sub specialties along with my general counseling practice. These include problematic and compulsive use of drugs, alcohol, and gambling and also AD/HD (Attention Deficit Disorder with or without Hyperactivity). Click for additional information.

In my work, I combine current and ongoing professional education with my many years of experience in helping individuals, couples and families.  I believe that people can get stuck in patterns that are unproductive for themselves and their relationships and that often an outside professional can allow for a different perspective as well as a therapeutic route to adjust processes and habits.  For me, that entails a balance of respect, compassion and mutuality with a search for potential paths to problem resolution or personal growth.
